About Me
Sara Krug has been involved in athletics for most of her life, she was first introduced to the competitive atmosphere when she joined a local volleyball team in Chandler, AZ in 2005 and has been addicted ever since. The passion for photographing athletics began several years later in 2011 starting with her brother's flag football team and a black and white 50mm film camera. Mildly obsessed she arrived at Northern Arizona University's doors realizing that capturing everyday life was not enough. She began working as a photographer for The Lumberjack while attending the college of Journalism and Communications. Sara graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism and Documentary Studies, and a minor in Anthropology in December of 2016. After school she traveled around the U.S. and eventually settled back down in Phoenix, AZ. Currently she is freelancing for a variety of photographic projects including but not limited to: hockey, baseball, rugby, volleyball, soccer, and creative portraiture that span across the board.
